We were quoted a contingency amount, on July 18th for $3, 898.53, which is the amount that we have been working under the assumption of with our contractor, only to find out today that our contingency amount is actually $838.53 less. Our most recent issue is a discrepancy in the contingency fund amount that we have. We were told that we could not provide the contingency fee out of pocket at the closing, only to discover in the closing documents that that was an option. We had a conference call prior to closing that had to be rescheduled due to no one being on the same page as to provide us with accurate information. We have been provided incorrect information at least 5 times throughout the process, so much so that we had no idea how much to bring to the closing until the morning of. According to all the awards and accolades that I read about with Embrace, I would have imagined that our experience would have been much better than it has been. I am very disappointed with the experience that we have had with Embrace Home Loans and our closing that occurred the end of June.
